Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Last Chance. We are a busy and active charity, and we rely on the dedication and support of our volunteers to help care for the animals at our centres.

Whether you can offer practical help, time with the animals, or support behind the scenes, every contribution makes a real difference.

Ways You Can Help

• Fostering
  Providing temporary care and a loving home for dogs in need, helping them transition to their forever homes.
• Home Checking
  Visiting potential adopters' homes to ensure they are suitable and safe for the animal(s) being adopted.
• Dog Walking
  Providing exercise and stimulation for dogs - please read the section below.
• Animal Care & Enrichment
  Spending time with dogs through supervised play, interaction, and enrichment activities in our secure areas.
• General Centre Support
  Helping with cleaning, organisation, and day-to-day tasks that keep the centres running smoothly.
• Administration & Fundraising
  Supporting our work through office tasks, events, and fundraising activities.

About Dog Walking at Last Chance

Dog walking is a valuable part of life at the centres, and our volunteer walkers are an important part of the team. To ensure the safety of our volunteers, staff, and dogs, dog walking takes place within a structured framework.

• Walking is scheduled outside of public opening hours and busy periods.
• Times and locations are limited to ensure a calm and safe environment.
• Some dogs may be strong, energetic, or have unknown backgrounds.
• Dog walking is therefore restricted to volunteers with appropriate experience.

Where dog walking is not suitable, there are plenty of other opportunities to help us and spend time with our animals, so don't hesitate to contact us!.
